Position Summary:

In alignment with the evolving electric vehicle landscape in the U.S., CATK is on the lookout for a skilled and passionate Automation Engineer to enhance our operational capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for the programming, upkeep, and enhancement of PLC control systems, ensuring streamlined processes within our facilities. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing system challenges, executing upgrades, and maintaining adherence to safety protocols and regulations. Effective collaboration with various engineering teams will be crucial for the successful integration of automation solutions throughout our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and program PLC control systems to automate and enhance facility operations.
  • Identify and rectify issues related to PLC hardware and software to ensure system dependability.
  • Perform routine maintenance and execute upgrades on automation systems to boost operational efficiency.
  • Formulate and implement control strategies aimed at optimizing system performance and productivity.
  • Establish and uphold policies to guarantee compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of PLC systems with existing frameworks.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the operation and maintenance of PLC systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in PLC programming and control system design.
  • Familiarity with major PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Omron) and associated programming languages.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM software.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of addressing complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and within a team, committed to delivering high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Willingness to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular attendance.
  • Ability to engage professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to navigate work environments, including walking, standing, and climbing.
