Position Summary

The Revenue Cycle Clerk plays a vital role in managing payment processing, requiring a solid understanding of cash handling, credit transactions, and customer service excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong mathematical skills and accounting knowledge, ensuring accurate cash register management and organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process patient account transactions, efficiently managing cash and credit card payments.
  • Conduct daily balancing and reconciliation of bank deposits and posted transactions.
  • Assist in preparing the Daily Cashier Report and sorting related documentation.
  • Handle checks and electronic deposits proactively, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Prepare payment, adjustment, and refund batches for posting.
  • Maintain logs of daily receipts and manage petty cash records.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to generate timely financial reports.
  • Address patient inquiries regarding billing and assist at the front desk as needed.

Qualifications

Education:
Associates degree or completion of an accredited radiological program. ARRT registration is required.

Experience:
Preferred one year of relevant experience.

Licenses and Certifications:
ARRT; RT(R) with additional licenses such as RT(R)(M), RT(R)(CT), RT(R)(MR) as applicable.

Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of general anatomy, ability to multitask, and commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Physical Requirements:
Medium Work: Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds occasionally or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly.

Interpersonal Relationships

Supervision:
Reports to the Radiology Manager.

Exposure to Hazards:
Must wear appropriate PPE during job functions and adhere to safety protocols regarding radiation exposure.

Equipment Utilization:
Familiarity with general radiology equipment including Dexa, Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and Mammography systems.

Essential Functions
  • Operate various radiology modalities and equipment for image production.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including scheduling and necessary preparations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on radiology equipment.
  • Ensure examination rooms are adequately stocked with supplies.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and safety measures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
