Role Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of associates engaged in the assembly of electrical and mechanical products. This position operates during the 2nd shift, ensuring that the manufacturing of products, parts, components, or assemblies adheres to established standards for timing, quality, and cost. The role emphasizes assembly efficiency, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and timely delivery to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee production processes to guarantee that manufactured goods meet or surpass all quality standards, including product integrity and production documentation.
  • Manage all personnel-related activities, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and safety compliance.
  • Establish manufacturing priorities based on daily and weekly production schedules, ensuring that assignments are clearly communicated to the team.
  • Interpret production specifications and assess the acceptability of ongoing production while ensuring that product quality aligns with company and customer expectations.
  • Implement safety protocols within the department to protect employees and promptly report any safety issues or incidents to the appropriate management.
  • Assist team members in resolving issues and utilize significant judgment in decision-making.
  • Direct routine maintenance and setup of production equipment.

Education & Experience Requirements:
A degree and/or a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience are required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including 6S, Kanban, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing assembly setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Certification is advantageous.
