Summary/Objective

The Senior Vice President of Modular Construction will oversee and drive the modularization strategy for DBM Global Inc., ensuring the effective integration and management of modular systems within construction projects. This role demands strong leadership, financial acumen, and mechanical aptitude to lead cross-functional teams, manage P&L, and drive results across operations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

  • Lead, build, and manage cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and execution of modularization projects.
  • Oversee self-perform construction operations, including steel erection, MEP, and commissioning.
  • Drive results through actionable items, follow-ups, and strategic decision-making.

Financial Oversight

  • Manage P&L for the modularization division, including budgeting, forecasting, and break-even analysis.
  • Apply financial acumen to assess project performance and financial viability.

Technical and Operational Expertise

  • Utilize mechanical aptitude to design, apply, and maintain modular systems, ensuring high-quality construction and functionality.
  • Apply engineering principles, root cause analysis, and numerical reasoning to resolve technical issues.
  • Oversee capacity planning, scheduling, and process mapping for modular operations.

Project and Supply Chain Management

  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to manage inventory, materials, and distribution channels.
  • Ensure effective contractual administration and adherence to project specifications.
  • Oversee the estimation process, including blueprint drawing and the use of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Process Improvement

  • Implement and manage Six Sigma/Lean methodologies to enhance process efficiency.
  • Develop and utilize RACI matrices to clarify roles and responsibilities within projects.
  • Apply process maps and swim lanes to streamline operations and improve project outcomes.

Communication and Presentation

  • Deliver compelling presentations to internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on project status and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with HR for talent management, including onboarding, training, and disciplinary actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Advanced degree or professional certification in a relevant field (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in modular construction, operations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Extensive experience in financial management, including P&L oversight, budgeting, and forecasting.

Specialized Knowledge

  • Advanced understanding of modular construction techniques, mechanical systems, and financial management.
  • Proficiency in blueprint drawing, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean.

Software & Technology

  • Proficiency in MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and industry-related MRP systems preferred.

Work Environment

  • The position may require extended working hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Primarily office-based, with occasional site visits that may involve physical activity.
