Job Summary:

The Vice President of Multifamily Construction will oversee all aspects of modular multifamily construction projects, from preconstruction to final delivery. This position involves strategic leadership, oversight of project execution, and a focus on innovation in modular construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to support multifamily modular construction initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all multifamily modular construction projects. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, and support staff. Foster a collaborative team culture focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Preconstruction Management: Collaborate with the preconstruction team to develop project budgets, schedules, and feasibility assessments. Review and approve plans, budgets, and contracts.
  • Innovation & Modular Expertise: Drive the adoption and implementation of modular construction techniques, continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners. Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Monitor project budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure that costs are kept within approved limits. Work closely with finance to manage project finances and profitability.
  • Schedule Management: Ensure adherence to project schedules, proactively addressing potential delays, and making adjustments to maintain timelines.
  • Quality Assurance & Control: Establish quality control standards for modular construction projects and ensure adherence to these standards through inspections and evaluations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the project, develop mitigation strategies, and address issues as they arise to minimize impact on project outcomes.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Promote a strong culture of safety across all projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multifamily modular construction.
  • Extensive knowledge of modular construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale multifamily construction projects from inception through completion.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide diverse project teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on client satisfaction and relationship building.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, costs, and financial performance.
  • Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore) and scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to modular construction.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
