Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform essential maintenance and repair tasks on our fleet vehicles as directed by the Fleet Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections, preventive maintenance, and electrical repairs on both diesel and gasoline vehicles in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide on-site assistance for vehicle breakdowns as needed.
- Complete all necessary repair and maintenance documentation using the company's maintenance software.
- Respond promptly to service calls, accurately diagnose issues, and execute high-quality repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance, including labor hours, parts, and materials utilized.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and foster respectful relationships with fleet and operations staff, as well as external suppliers.
- Identify and report any existing or potential safety hazards to management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of four years of verifiable experience as a Class C - Associate Mechanic, with the necessary automotive knowledge and skills for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- ASE and/or EVT certifications are highly preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Must have a complete set of personal tools required for basic automotive repairs, including:
- Ratchets: 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" Drive
- Sockets: SAE and Metric, Standard and Deep
- Extensions: Short, Medium, Long - 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" Drive
- 1/2" Drive Impact Wrench capable of removing and replacing wheels
- Combination Wrenches: 1/4" through 1-1/8" and 6MM through 24MM
- Screwdrivers: Flat blade and Phillips in various sizes
- Pliers: Channel lock, long nose, linesman, wire strippers, crimpers
- Punches: Straight, Center Punch, chisels
- Hammers: Ball pein, dead blow, soft, sledge
- Pickle Forks
- Oil Filter Wrench
- Test light and Multimeter
- Mechanics Toolbox on Wheels
