Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of safe and effective patient care during off-hours, weekends, and holidays in the absence of senior management.
- Conduct assessments across departments to ensure seamless continuity of care and communicate relevant information to leadership.
- Address unusual occurrences or patient complaints promptly and effectively.
- Ensure nursing staff adheres to best practices in patient care, prioritizing safety and minimizing healthcare errors.
- Monitor and ensure accurate documentation of medical necessity and interdisciplinary care plans.
- Evaluate risk management and quality indicators, along with patient satisfaction metrics, to enhance performance and outcomes.
- Facilitate training for nursing staff on Quality Indicators (QIs) and ensure timely assessments are conducted.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with current state licensure; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
- Certification as a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in rehabilitation or acute care settings, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Strong planning, coordination, evaluation, and direction skills for clinical personnel; effective communication skills in English, with additional languages being a plus; basic computer proficiency is necessary.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
