Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a passion for developing innovative consumer products.

As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and launch of new products, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas from concept to market.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with product management, marketing, and design teams to understand product requirements and customer needs.
  2. Develop and prototype new product concepts using CAD software and other design tools.
  3. Conduct feasibility studies, including cost analysis and manufacturability assessments.
  4. Perform engineering calculations and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability.
  5. Develop and execute test plans to validate product designs, including functional, durability, and environmental testing.
  6. Analyze test data and iterate designs based on findings.
  7. Manage project timelines and milestones, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  8. Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure seamless transition from development to production.
  9. Prepare and present technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  10. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in product development and manufacturing.
  11. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products.
  12. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the ideation of new products and features.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

Experience: 2-3 years of experience in product development or a related engineering role, preferably in the consumer products industry.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Experience with prototyping techniques and materials. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, casting, and CNC machining. Familiarity with product testing standards and methodologies.
