Senior Field Auditor

The Senior Field Auditor will conduct comprehensive premium assessments of clients' payroll, financial documentation, and operational activities related to workers' compensation, general liability, and commercial automobile insurance policies. This role is primarily self-directed, requiring a deep understanding of classification systems and manual regulations. The audits typically involve large and intricate cases, necessitating advanced auditing expertise and knowledge of policy frameworks.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with underwriters, brokers, and risk managers to foster the cooperation essential for executing precise and thorough audits.

Key Responsibilities

Your main duties will include:

  • Classifying client operations in accordance with manual regulations and establishing an accurate exposure base that aligns with state and federal quarterly records.
  • Building and sustaining strong relationships with underwriters, brokers, and clients.
  • Regularly communicating with home office personnel and underwriting teams to keep them updated on any factors affecting audit completion.
  • Managing the inventory of audit assignments to ensure compliance with departmental standards for timeliness and accuracy.

You will report directly to the Premium Audit Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in premium auditing with a solid grasp of NCCI and ISO manual regulations.
  • Previous experience auditing large multi-state commercial insurance policies for major corporations with complex reporting structures.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards governing the audit process.
  • Proficient in utilizing NCCI and independent insurance bureau websites.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of Visual Audit software.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • APA or CPCU designation is advantageous.
  • PAAS Training and comprehensive knowledge of multi-state manual regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong mathematical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate with diverse groups.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
