Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with guests to address maintenance concerns promptly.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment in various areas, including kitchens and mechanical rooms.
- Perform visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Manage maintenance inventory and request parts and supplies as necessary.
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using established communication protocols.
Essential Skills:
Demonstrate foundational knowledge or the ability to learn in the following areas:
- Air conditioning and refrigeration
- Electrical and mechanical systems
- Plumbing and pneumatic/electronic controls
- Carpentry and finishing skills
- Kitchen equipment maintenance
- Energy conservation techniques
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall repairs, and light fixture replacements.
- Test, troubleshoot, and execute basic repairs on various equipment and plumbing systems.
- Program televisions and assist with housekeeping and engineering-related inventory tasks.
- Adhere to all company safety and security policies, completing necessary training and certifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and heavier items with assistance.
Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, ensuring a high standard of service and upkeep.
Experience in a hospitality environment is preferred. A license in a relevant trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) is also advantageous.
