We are in search of a skilled Lead Architect who possesses the expertise to create designs for intricate industrial and technological projects from the initial concept through to the construction documentation phase. This role is vital within a collaborative team of in-house professionals, including architects, designers, mechanical and electrical engineers, and construction managers. Compensation will be aligned with educational qualifications and relevant project experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed Architect in California
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in Architectural Design or Project Management
  • Proficient in designing Labs, Clean Rooms, and Industrial facilities
  • Ability to manage a project from inception to completion, overseeing the execution of the team and consultants throughout the design development process
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit
  • Expertise in AutoCAD
  • Thorough understanding of current Title 24, CBC, and local Building and Fire Codes
  • Experience navigating local planning and building department approval processes, including zoning approvals, entitlements, and building permits (experience with DSA and HCAI is advantageous)
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Comfortable acting as the primary project contact with client management and end-users
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to guide a team of architects, engineers, and consultants in producing comprehensive drawings and reports that align with client expectations and timelines
  • Strong collaborative skills to foster teamwork, creativity, and professional growth
  • Education: BA or BArch or Masters in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • LEED accreditation is preferred but not mandatory
