Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Lead to join our team at Vaco. As a Data Governance Lead, you will be responsible for defining and implementing a comprehensive Data Governance strategy across our client group of companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a robust Data Governance framework aligned with the organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive initiatives related to Master Data Management, Data Security, Data Quality, Data Retention, and Data Definitions and cataloging.
  • Establish and promote best practices for data management and governance, ensuring consistency and quality across all data assets.
  • Work with business stewards to document and define data metrics, quality thresholds, and performance indicators to monitor and improve data quality.
  • Coordinate with IT security, compliance, and risk teams to ensure data policies meet regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, 7 years experience in the field or in a related area or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in defining and implementing Data Governance frameworks and strategies across large organizations.
  • Previous experience in Data Governance Implementation as a functional lead or functional project manager.
  • Deep knowledge of Master Data Management, Data Security, Data Quality, Data Retention policies, and Data Definitions and cataloging.
  • Previous experience with Ataccama is a plus. Otherwise, experience with tools such as Collibra, Axon, Alation, and OneTrust would be expected.
