Job Overview: The Graphic Designer plays a crucial role within the creative team, providing expertise in graphic design and photography for both print and digital platforms.

This role involves collaboration with fellow creative professionals to develop and produce materials for use by CareOregon and its partner organizations.

In addition to creating artwork for various formats, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for producing desktop publications, images, presentations, web banners, advertisements, brochures, and collaborating with internal teams, translators, and print vendors to ensure the creation of print-ready materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Graphic Design: Innovate and suggest design ideas, graphics, and layouts. Execute graphic design tasks that align with specifications set by the Art Director or senior design team members. Ensure consistency with organizational branding and messaging.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize design software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Acrobat to create and update both print and digital assets. Prepare final pages for print production.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work alongside design and production teams, both internally and externally. Contribute to vendor selection processes and maintain communication regarding project timelines and delivery.
  • Campaign Development: Collaborate with writers and other creative staff to develop marketing campaigns. Manage project coordination as needed, ensuring effective visual communication with diverse audiences.
  • Organizational Alignment: Conduct work in accordance with the organization's mission and values. Promote a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion by fostering respect and understanding among all individuals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of graphic design experience with proficiency in current software including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant design work.
  • Understanding of professional print production processes.
