UnaSource Surgery Center is in search of a proficient Surgical Nurse Assistant (SNA) to enhance our dedicated team. The SNA will collaborate closely with the surgical team, executing advanced intraoperative responsibilities as the primary assistant during surgical interventions.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN licensure
- Successful completion of an AORN accredited Surgical Nurse Assistant program
- Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) is preferred
- A minimum of three years of recent experience in perioperative nursing
- BLS certification required
Preferred Skills:
- Capability to perform roles as intraoperative scrub, circulator, and first assistant
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and surgical anatomy
- Familiarity with surgical instruments and supplies
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute intraoperative first assisting duties
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures
- Document incidents in accordance with established policies
- Exhibit proficiency in total joint and spine nursing
- Comply with organizational policies and HIPAA regulations
