The primary goal is to ensure the provision of continuous and safe services for all stakeholders, including citizens and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with various departments to prepare for potential threats and emergencies.
- Develop, assess, and update Emergency Procedures, including essential operational guidelines and resources.
- Engage in response efforts during unplanned incidents.
- Lead recovery initiatives to restore normal operations promptly.
- Incorporate lessons learned from after-action reviews to enhance existing plans.
- Maintain readiness for effective communication during internal and external operations.
- Coordinate institutional emergency management projects and response efforts efficiently.
- Manage digital communication platforms and ensure proficiency with relevant software systems.
- Assist in the formation and staffing of an Incident Command Team capable of functioning around the clock.
- Conduct outreach and educational initiatives for employees and staff.
- Develop a foundational understanding of relevant standards related to Emergency Management and integrate them into operational plans.
- Participate in evening, night, and weekend duties as necessary, particularly during critical situations.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in emergency management or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of full-time experience in emergency management.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environments while managing multiple priorities with a keen attention to detail.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Completion of specific emergency management certifications within the initial months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in emergency management or a related discipline.
- Three years of full-time experience in emergency management.
- Possession of relevant emergency management certifications.
- Experience in emergency management within educational institutions.
- Familiarity with specific software used in emergency management.
