X-Ray Technologist Part-Time Opportunity

This part-time X-Ray Technologist role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about radiology and patient care. The successful candidate will join a team of skilled professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional care.

The part-time schedule consists of working Wednesday and Friday 7:00 AM-5:30 PM. The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures adhering to radiation protection principles according to local, state and federal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient identification and accurate performance of diagnostic radiographic services.
  • Evaluation of patient needs and technical quality of images.
  • Knowledge of RIS/HIS modules relevant to job responsibilities.
  • Participation in Radiology Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement program.
  • Maintenance of equipment and supplies in assigned area.
  • Following downtime procedures to ensure continuity of care.
  • Professional development through inservices and/or continuing education programs.
  • Providing educational information to patients.
  • Annual peer review of films meeting department standards.
  • Knowledgeable about patient condition, history, and background information.
  • Quality control of digital images sent to PACS.
  • Contributing to achieving hospital-designated Press Ganey mean score.

Work Environment:

Frequent use of fingers and hands to operate equipment, pull x-ray folders, and chart information. Walking or standing for up to 8 hours per shift in 30-minute increments. Pulling, pushing, and lifting patients up to 300 pounds with assistance. Listing and moving objects of up to 30 pounds. Frequent stooping, crouching, and bending. Frequently lifting arms above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to normal vision.

Requirements:

A graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or ARRT registered, or ARRT registry eligible. Must pass registry within 1 year of hire date.

Skill and Experience:

Experience as a radiologic technologist preferred. Ongoing training in department procedures. Current CPR certification required. History of computer usage experience necessary.
