This part-time position (29 hours/week) involves working closely with the Sr. Director of Fields and Grounds and the Fields and Grounds Superintendent. Your primary duties will focus on the upkeep of common areas, maintaining sports turf grass, and performing various related tasks as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Essential tasks include:
    • Cutting and installing sod
    • Managing irrigation systems effectively
    • Mowing, trimming, and operating blowers
    • Applying fertilizers using a walk-behind spreader
    • Marking fields and painting logos
  • Ensuring proper operation and maintenance of equipment such as reel mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles
  • Completing additional assigned tasks as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to follow directions and manage multiple tasks
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends according to team schedules
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Prior experience in landscaping is advantageous

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and engage in other physical activities for extended periods
  • Capability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. (100 lbs. with assistance)
  • Work conditions may involve exposure to various weather elements and noise
