Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Financial Operations Manager to become a part of our organization. This role is primarily accountable for directing and supervising the daily functions of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:


Oversee and support a team of finance clerks, which encompasses Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing operations.

Manage treasury functions across various bank accounts, ensuring accurate execution of bank and general ledger reconciliations.

Lead the month-end closing activities to facilitate the generation of monthly financial reports.

Administer subledgers with monthly journal entries related to inventory, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities.

Generate sales analytics and compute commissions earned by the sales personnel.

Coordinate or assist in the budgeting process.

Investigate accounting matters to ensure compliance with established accounting standards.

Act as a point of contact for external auditors.

Uphold accounting controls by developing and recommending policies and procedures.

Assist in the preparation of property tax and sales tax submissions.

Focus on initiatives aimed at cost management.

Collaborate with the Corporate IT department to safeguard proprietary information and trade secrets.

Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and Local financial regulations. Prepare reports as mandated by regulatory bodies.

Compile special reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

Achieve results by executing responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role.

Experience in supporting the finance function within the Metals sector or Industrial Distribution environment.
