Key Responsibilities:
As an IT Solutions Product Lead, you will:
1. Align governance frameworks with the Application Management Services (AMS) function essential for managing current products and platforms.
2. Collaborate with the Transformation Management Office to assess, prioritize, and streamline incoming initiatives.
3. Develop and implement an estimation model to evaluate all new development projects for existing platforms and products, establishing delivery management controls to meet business goals.
4. Work closely with AMS and the Director of Delivery Management to facilitate DevOps practices that support the product and platform portfolio at ITIL L3+ standards.
5. Identify key performance indicators and metrics through an effective reporting process to ensure transparency in product and platform operational health.
6. Design control mechanisms that empower leadership to make informed strategic decisions and take necessary tactical actions to safeguard the interests of the organization.
7. Participate in and support both internal and external application security and compliance audits.
8. Collaborate across Munich Re to ensure uniformity in the design and execution of platforms, products, and features.
9. Oversee end-to-end solution delivery for data modernization initiatives.
10. Manage DevOps project teams throughout the application lifecycle, including build, deployment, support, and enhancement.
11. Partner with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to ensure security protocols are implemented, maintained, and regularly updated using standard tools and best practices.
12. Act as a role model for project teams, continuously striving for organizational improvement.
13. Monitor and evaluate changing conditions and resource availability to devise solutions for resource management.
14. Establish connections with global business stakeholders and align teams with Data & Analytics, DevOps, and One Cloud Vision.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 5 years of progressive experience in roles such as Developer, Technical Lead, Domain Manager, or Business Analyst within the Property & Casualty insurance sector.
Preferred Experience:
1. Managing implementations and upgrades of insurance software, including Guidewire and Duck Creek.
2. Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
3. Experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business testing specific to insurance systems.
4. Skills in requirements gathering techniques, including Joint Application Development (JAD) and user workshops.
5. Leadership experience in technical or delivery roles.
6. Knowledge of product lifecycle management principles.
7. Experience transitioning data and BI technologies to Hybrid/Cloud environments.
8. Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Cloud solutions, Agile methodologies, and various data technology stacks.
Work Arrangement:
This position may allow for remote work; however, the candidate must be able to report to the office as required.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
