Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve espresso drinks and related food and beverage items to customers.
  • Handle food according to HACCP guidelines and standards for quality food-service operations.
  • Interact with customers and other employees in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area.
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Ensure proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards.
  • Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments.
  • Greet customers courteously and interact in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Serve customers quickly and efficiently, and prevent delays in serving lines.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to customers.
  • Serve as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process.
  • Ensure all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
