POSITION SUMMARY:
The Personal Financial Specialist is primarily responsible for driving sales growth and fostering member relationships through the promotion of financial products, including deposits, loans, and fee-based services, while ensuring member retention.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the opening and closing of member accounts.
  • Assist members with inquiries and issues related to account management.
  • Provide notarization and signature guarantees when authorized.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets for deposits and loans.
  • Promote Visa Credit Cards and achieve individual cross-sell goals.
  • Market MRC (Warranty) Policies and reach cross-sell objectives.
  • Facilitate loan origination to meet branch goals.
  • Process loan applications, communicate decisions to members, and oversee the signing of loan documents.
  • Ensure accurate account openings and loan submissions in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Perform teller transactions as needed.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Authorize checks and perform supervisory tasks when permitted.
  • Guide the teller team in sales strategies and referral processes.
  • Engage with members to identify financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Deliver outstanding member experiences in all interactions.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years in a financial branch or comparable retail sales environment.
  • Willingness to cover at other branches and participate in a Saturday rotation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with members and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with the loan application process and internal operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of current market trends and financial products.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must pass a background check, including credit and criminal history.
