Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at the Massachusetts General Hospital Heart Center's Cardiac Arrhythmia Service and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in the evaluation and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, working closely with our team of cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of procedures, including pacing and other tasks, for all EP procedures.
  • Independently troubleshoot equipment and demonstrate ability to orient other members of the team.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple responsibilities and adapting to changing situations.
  • Implement safe, competent, and efficient procedure care within policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of radiological equipment and safety, shielding techniques, expert imaging skills, troubleshooting, analyzing 12 lead EKG, and various intracardiac leads.
Requirements
  • Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or in a related field of study.
  • Two years of previous CVT/RT experience preferred.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred.
  • Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 3 months of hire preferred.

The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
