Our institution specializes in managing higher acuity patients who have not improved with traditional short-term hospital treatments.
Role Responsibilities
Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Practical Nursing Specialist will deliver personalized nursing care to patients and execute care plans developed by physicians and RNs. Key responsibilities include:
- Administering medications and performing wound care.
- Providing ostomy and tracheostomy care.
- Conducting lab work and oral care.
- Documenting patient care accurately and promptly.
- Educating patients and their families about diagnoses and care plans.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with clinical standards.
This role involves direct patient interaction with individuals aged 18 and older, requiring specific training and expertise to effectively serve this demographic.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A valid New Jersey state LPN license.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is preferred.
