The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will be responsible for conducting evaluations and assessments to diagnose communication disorders, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to diagnose communication disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and assessments
  • Provide speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and parents, to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, assessments, and therapy sessions
  • Attend meetings and provide reports on student progress
Requirements:
  • An associate's degree from a speech-language pathology assistant program or a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders, plus completion of fieldwork hours and a state-issued license
  • Prior school-based experience is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
