Respiratory Therapist

About this role:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist at IU Health North Hospital, you will have the opportunity to utilize your Respiratory Therapy license to make a meaningful impact on the lives of your patients, your community, and your colleagues.
You will work closely with patients to evaluate and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, utilizing a range of modalities and demographics. In addition, you will collaborate with various entities within the hospital setting, including nurses, Advanced Respiratory Therapists, and Clinical Specialists, to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and support.
Outside of working with cutting-edge technologies and therapies, our Respiratory Therapists have the opportunity to grow their medical knowledge and skills by working closely with patients and team members to develop personalized therapies.

Responsibilities:
- Requires current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana.
- Requires graduation from a CoARC and regionally accredited respiratory care program.
- Requires passing the N.B.R.C. registry exam within 13 months of hire date, or within one year of graduation date.
- Requires Healthcare Provider Certification, with other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.
- Preferred ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP certification.
- Requires strong customer service skills.
- Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Requires the ability to handle confidential patient information.
- Requires basic computer skills and ability to work with EMR.
