Job Summary

As a Lineman 1st Class - Utility Operations Specialist at UGI Utilities, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our transmission and distribution systems. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to trouble reports and assess/diagnose situations to recommend solutions and safely restore service
  • Perform single-man switching and sectionalize to restore service
  • Communicate with customers and electricians to resolve electrical issues
  • Operate and maintain transmission and distribution systems, including overhead and underground infrastructure
  • Work irregularly scheduled hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electric utility work, including 4 years as a Lineman Second Class or equivalent
  • 1st Class Journeyman Lineman Certificate and completion of a recognized Lineman Apprenticeship
  • Valid PA Commercial Driver's License Class A, air brake restriction removed
  • Pole Top Rescue, Bucket Truck Rescue, CPR, First Aid, Equi-Potential Grounding, Buck Squeeze, OSHA 10 Hr.
