Soliant Education is in search of a proficient and committed Sign Language Interpreter for a full-time, on-site role. This position is essential for enhancing the educational journey of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver sign language interpretation services for students and faculty across various educational environments, including classrooms and school functions.
- Work collaboratively with educators and support staff to address the communication and learning needs of students.
- Modify interpreting techniques to align with the unique learning styles and communication preferences of each student.
- Contribute to fostering an inclusive atmosphere for students with hearing impairments.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all professional interactions.
- Possession of certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as NIC, RID, or EIPA certification).
- Prior experience in educational settings, especially with elementary-aged children, is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of deaf culture and proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
