About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a Radiation Safety Expert, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of care in the use of radiation-producing sources and imaging equipment, while protecting patients and staff from radiation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform required calibrations on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Recommend and justify new equipment and products for the department, ensuring alignment with our mission to deliver compassionate, personalized care.
  • Conduct equipment performance reviews as needed and implement quality control procedures for imaging devices, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Recommend radiation safety procedures to areas using radiation, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Educate staff in radiation safety practices, empowering them to provide the best possible care for our patients.

Requirements

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: Medical Physicist credentialed from the American Board of Radiology obtained within 36 Months (3 years) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
