Position Overview: The Clinical Nursing Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive skin care to patients, working under the guidance and oversight of the attending medical professionals. This position adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards set forth by Life Care Centers of America.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- Previous experience in wound care is preferred
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in geriatric nursing is advantageous
- Advanced expertise in the nursing field
- Familiarity with the laws, regulations, and best practices governing operations in post-acute care settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and interpret departmental programs, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrate proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
- Uphold confidentiality regarding all proprietary and sensitive information
- Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
- Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training
Patient Care Delivery:
- Collaborate with the nursing team to educate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on proper patient positioning, training, and skin care techniques
- Assess patients' needs through continuous evaluation and adjust treatment plans in coordination with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team (IDT)
- Proficiently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
