About the Role: Housing Specialist

As a Housing Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping individuals and families find safe and affordable housing.

You will be responsible for assessing clients' housing needs, identifying available resources, and providing guidance and support throughout the housing search process.

Your work will directly impact the lives of those in need, and you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' housing needs and preferences
  • Identify and connect clients with available housing resources, including rental assistance programs and affordable housing options
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the housing search process
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress
  • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to expand housing resources and improve outcomes for clients
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with mental health and substance use disorders
  • Knowledge of local housing resources and rental assistance programs
  • Experience with housing advocacy and policy
