Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate care for patients among general surgery, surgical oncology, bariatric, minimally invasive, and robotic surgical services to streamline comprehensive surgical care.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and family members to ensure seamless care.
  • Educate patients and family members about their care and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with radiology, pathology, laboratory, and primary care/referring offices to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a BSN degree.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
  • 3 years of practical experience in surgical nursing and familiarity with new trends and practices in surgery.
  • BLS certification required.
