Position Overview

Auto-Owners Insurance, a leading insurance provider, is in search of a driven Corporate Real Estate Intern. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging with commercial lease agreements, operational expenses, and associated owner duties.
  • Evaluating property management challenges, reviewing bids, coordinating maintenance services, and processing financial documents.
  • Collaborating with branch management on daily operational requests.
  • Assisting with branch evaluations, which may involve occasional overnight travel.
  • Cooperating with various departments within Auto-Owners' real estate sector, including facilities management and security services.
  • Supporting non-property management initiatives within the real estate division as required.
Candidate Requirements
  • Applicants should be enrolled and approaching their junior or senior year in college, preferably majoring in construction management, civil engineering, or facilities management.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic understanding of commercial property management.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Willingness to learn new software tools.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation - $16/hour. Returning interns may be eligible for a higher wage.
