Company Overview: Our client, a leading food manufacturing company with products sold worldwide, is seeking an experienced Food Scientist to support their Research Laboratory in Teterboro, NJ.

Salary: $73K and Up (Depending on Experience)

Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for creating new food formulations and samples through R&D, identifying new ingredients for innovative products, documenting product specifications and processes, conducting audits to measure product quality, and managing food product document control and records. They will work closely with the R&D team to ensure accurate development of specifications before product launch.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Meat Science, Animal Science or Chemistry
  • 2+ years of experience in R&D or Food Technology from a food manufacturing or food development company
  • Knowledge of FDA and US Government regulations, including labeling and nutritional facts
  • Detailed oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and Excel
