We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Plant Operator II to join our team at ENGIE North America Inc. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of power generation equipment, including boilers, pumps, air compressors, and turbines. The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial plant operations and a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain power generation equipment, including boilers, pumps, air compressors, and turbines
- Conduct hourly rounds to monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment
- Collaborate with production support personnel, maintenance, and management to ensure smooth plant operations
- Provide relief and support in other job classifications as needed
- High School Degree or GED equivalent required
- A minimum of three years industrial plant, process plant, shipboard power & propulsion or power plant experience operating boilers, pumps, fans, conveyors
- A minimum of One (1) year experience operating solid fuel and/or gas/oil fired water tube boilers, turbine generators and related plant equipment required
The Power Plant can be an extremely hot environment. Areas of the Power Plant can be dusty. The Power Plant noise level is usually moderate to high.
CompensationThis role offers a competitive salary range of $39.42 hourly. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a bonus / incentive plan.
