Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Director of Strategy and Operations to join our team. This key role will be responsible for defining and implementing sustainable operational policies, programs, and experiences for both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with our executives to establish, lead, and maintain company-wide strategies, driving change and ensuring the successful execution of our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead advisor onboarding initiatives, including adding financial advisors, moving client accounts, and training.
  • Create and supervise systems administration of the financial advisor systems platform, including user onboarding, user support, client account migration, and support.
  • Oversee back and middle office operations, including implementing policies, procedures, controls, and ensuring systems/processes meet the business needs of our financial advisors.
  • Develop and implement change management and work process design/improvement efforts and system enhancements to drive business process automation and redesign.
  • Work with HR and executives to create, implement, and oversee product training and onboarding programs to ensure prepared and competent personnel and team function.
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics to ensure company goals and standards are met.
  • Develop short- and long-term strategies aligned with company objectives to achieve department and company goals.
  • Partner with department leaders, third-party vendors, financial professionals, and company executives to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university, with four to five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the life and annuity insurance industry.
  • Series 6 or 7 and 65 or 66 required.
  • Prior management, registered investment advisor, and broker-dealer experience required.
  • Life insurance and annuity experience required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
  • Superior knowledge of industry regulations and operational guidelines.
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex, detailed, and sensitive information.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Travel up to 25%.
