Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our team at the Bardmoor YMCA Preschool Academy. As a key member of our early learning center, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and educational environment for our young participants.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Pre-School Teachers with classroom coverage, implementing curriculum and promoting physical, mental, and social development through activities such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
  • Establish and enforce rules to promote positive behavior, attending to children's basic needs including supervising meal times, playground times, and free play.
  • Collaborate with the team to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters growth and development in our children.
Requirements

Candidates must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. Position requires completion of MODS (Introductory Child Care Training, Part 1 & 2). The ideal candidate will have experience working with preschool-aged children and the ability to work effectively with a team.
