Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Pre-School Teachers with classroom coverage, providing a quality experience to children that focuses on the YMCA values of honesty, respect, responsibility, caring and faith.
  • Implement curriculum within the established guidelines, promoting physical, mental and social development in children.
  • Lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
  • Establish and enforce rules to promote positive behavior, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all children.
  • Attend to children's basic needs, including supervising meal times, playground times and free play.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Position requires completion of MODS (Introductory Child Care Training, Part 1 & 2).
  • Experience working with preschool aged children and the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to interact with toddlers and young children for an extended period of time both indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday.
