Job Summary

The Director of Inclusion and Equity will provide strategic leadership and direction for the development and implementation of a comprehensive diversity, equity, and inclusion program at Ivy Tech Community College. This position will be responsible for creating a campus-wide culture that values and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion, and ensures that all students, faculty, and staff feel welcome and supported.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic plan that aligns with the college's mission and goals.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for faculty and staff on diversity, equity, and inclusion topics.
  • Collaborate with campus departments and organizations to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Assess and address campus climate issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Serve as a liaison to the college's diversity, equity, and inclusion committee.
  • Provide data and analysis to inform diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budgets for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion programming.
  • Experience working in higher education preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Experience with budget development and management.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion assessment and evaluation.
  • Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion policy development and implementation.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
