- Implements cash handling protocols related to cash drawers and deposits, while adhering to safety and security measures.
- Guides and provides constructive feedback to team members to ensure adherence to company standards and procedures.
- Manages food, paper, labor, and utility costs in alignment with management projections, monitoring shift operations for compliance.
- Completes daily reports accurately and neatly as directed by management.
- Effectively addresses unexpected situations such as staff absences or product shortages, notifying management promptly.
The Restaurant Operations Supervisor receives guidance and training from the Restaurant Manager and other training resources. This role involves supervising team members and providing mentorship to younger colleagues. During each shift, the Supervisor motivates, directs, and coaches staff to ensure efficient task completion in line with company procedures.
Compliance with all relevant laws, safety regulations, and company policies is essential. The Supervisor ensures that each shift is prepared to meet customer needs and works diligently to guarantee customer satisfaction with both service and product quality.
ESSENTIAL TASKS:
To fulfill the responsibilities outlined in this job description, the following abilities are required:
- Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 55 pounds.
- Ability to reach and retrieve items from various heights.
- Proficient in safely operating kitchen equipment and tools.
- Ability to engage with customers outside the restaurant as permitted.
- Skill in handling food products and cleaning equipment.
- Competence in counting, sorting, and weighing food and inventory items.
- Ability to follow directions and comprehend product specifications.
- Skill in processing customer orders efficiently.
- Capability to complete required training programs for certification.
- Effective communication skills with customers and team members.
- Ability to understand and apply training materials and standard operating procedures.
- Mathematical skills for calculating sales, inventory, and employee schedules.
- Valid driver's license and adherence to traffic laws.
- Ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
The Restaurant Operations Supervisor must possess:
- Previous experience in the restaurant or retail sector, particularly in customer-facing roles.
- A minimum age of 18 years.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, along with basic math skills.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform under pressure.
- A flexible schedule, typically around 20-30 hours per week, with the capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Completion of the designated training program and successful evaluation of shift management skills.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record in accordance with company standards.
