Job Overview

Team Ford Las Vegas is seeking to hire Automotive Service Technicians and Used Vehicle Technicians with a smog certification. Our facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, including a DYNO for diesel emissions testing, along with state-of-the-art equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute tasks as specified on repair orders with precision and efficiency.
  • Identify the root cause of most mechanical issues and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Coordinate with the parts department to secure required components.
  • Preserve and label parts from the job if under warranty or at the customer's request.
  • Inspect assigned vehicles to assess if additional safety or service work is necessary.
  • Inform the service advisor promptly if further work is required, if the outlined work is unnecessary, or if repairs cannot be completed within the agreed timeframe.
  • Record all performed and recommended work on the repair order.
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles when necessary or refer to the designated test technician.
  • Engage in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, workshops, and events.
  • Stay updated on manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Report any equipment defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Ensure that customer vehicles are maintained in a clean condition, notifying the service advisor immediately of any changes to the vehicle's appearance or condition.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized shop area.
  • Account for all dealership-owned tools and manuals, returning them to their designated places in the same condition as received.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know standards.
  • Operate all tools and equipment safely.
  • Report any safety concerns to management without delay.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
