Job Overview

Position Summary

The Cage Cashier plays a vital role in safeguarding and managing company funds under the supervision of the Cage Supervisors. This position is essential for executing a high volume of cash and non-cash transactions for guests and internal clients with precision and courtesy. Adherence to Internal Control policies, the Responsible Gaming plan, and relevant state and federal regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering compliance, is crucial.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the imprest bank while conducting monetary transactions for external guests and in-house clients.
  • Balance and distribute imprest banks to Food & Beverage and Hotel team members.
  • Accurately record patron transactions in the company’s computer system.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, balance sheets, and reports in line with NJ Gaming Regulations and Internal Control guidelines.
  • Efficiently transfer cash, chips, and checks between cages and departments.
  • Assist in replenishing kiosks on the casino floor.
  • Support the Slots team in troubleshooting Kiosk machines.
  • Maintain strict compliance with department policies to uphold the integrity of Cage operations.
  • Engage in daily cage reconciliation by applying accurate transaction and balancing methods.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Title 31 regulations.
  • Promote responsible gaming and alcohol service by discreetly informing management of any concerns.
  • Foster positive relations with the public and team members.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Exhibit behaviors that reflect the Company's Mission and Values.
  • Promptly report any illegal activities or internal ethics violations to management or the Ethics Hotline.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six months of cash handling experience.
  • Preferred experience in cage operations.
  • Must possess a valid CER issued by NJ Gaming Enforcement or be able to obtain one.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
