As a Mechanical Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be integral in upholding the standards of our electro/mechanical products. Your role will involve conducting a variety of inspections in alignment with IPC-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute comprehensive inspections based on engineering blueprints and manufacturing directives.
- Utilize your proficiency in wiring and soldering, along with a solid grasp of IPC standards, to ensure compliance.
- Operate advanced measurement equipment such as Micro-Hite, Romer Arm, and Optical Comparator.
- Generate detailed inspection reports and manage incoming quality checks on electro/mechanical components.
- Assess vendor certifications for accuracy and completeness in line with quality requirements.
- Conduct complex inspection tasks to verify product conformity to design specifications.
- Create non-conforming material reports (NMRs) as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A 2-year associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing standards, including IPC-A-610, and familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerance practices.
- Experience in interpreting mechanical drawings and validating part dimensions against specifications.
- Proficiency in using complex inspection systems is highly desirable.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for DOD Security clearance.
