Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center. As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required; NIH and TNCC certifications are preferred.
Job Details
  • We prefer candidates with 48-hour contracts, but 36- or 40-hour contracts are also acceptable.
  • COVID vaccination is required, and religious and medical exemptions are accepted with completion of a COVID exemption form signed by a provider for medical exemptions.
  • Position/Specialty: ICU RN
  • Ratios: 1:2 (ICU typically has a mix of ICU, sub-acute, and floor status patients; SAC ratios are 1:4)
  • Years of experience required: 1
  • First-timers are accepted, and we are open to accommodating block schedules.
  • Locals are not accepted within a 75-mile radius.
  • Pending license acceptance is not allowed.
  • RTO restrictions apply for assignments greater than 7 days, which require approval.
Job Requirements
  • Certs required: BLS and ACLS; NIH and TNCC are preferred.
  • On-call requirements: No
  • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, occasional floating to other inpatient units.
Schedule Information
  • 48-hour contracts are preferred.
  • Weekend requirements: Yes, every other weekend, with a minimum of 13 weekends per year.
Unit Specific Information
  • Unit information, patient diagnoses, and special equipment details are sensitive and excluded.
Additional Details
  • Open to accommodating block schedules? Not guaranteed.
  • Locals accepted: No locals within 75 miles.
  • Pending license accepted: No.
  • RTO restrictions: greater than 7 days needs approval.
