About the Role

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Behavioral Health team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals experiencing crisis and stress management issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with the Standards of Safe Nursing Practice and Ohio Administrative Code.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in the Crisis Intervention and Stress Management Units.
  • Develop and update patient care plans, involving patients and families in the planning process.
  • Administer treatments and medications, and document patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient outcomes and contribute to the improvement of care.
  • Delegate tasks and assignments, serve as a resource person, and pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Five years of nursing experience and three years of inpatient psych experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Physical Requirements
  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
