Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Due Diligence Coordinator to join our Land Development team at Velocity Search Group. This role involves leading the due diligence aspects of commercial land development projects and managing due diligence consultants, including geotechnical, environmental, traffic, and survey. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Director of Development or Development Manager and design teams throughout the project development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze local, state, and federal approval requirements and processes.
  • Conduct site assessments and utility availability investigations to ensure project feasibility.
  • Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports and memorandums to inform project decisions.
  • Coordinate utility requirements and manage consultants to ensure timely and budget-friendly project execution.
  • Research and track applicable real estate agreement critical dates, restrictions, and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific development schedules and budgets to ensure project success.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, landscape architecture, civil engineering, planning, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of commercial land development experience, with a strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and approval processes.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, with experience in MS Project or other web-based project management platforms a plus.
