Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Sheriff to join our Youth Services team. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will be responsible for providing law enforcement services to our schools and communities, while also working closely with school administrators, teachers, and students to prevent and respond to incidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide law enforcement services to our schools and communities, including responding to calls, conducting investigations, and making arrests.
  • Work closely with school administrators, teachers, and students to prevent and respond to incidents, including bullying, violence, and other safety concerns.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve school safety and security, including conducting risk assessments and providing training to school staff.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to address crime and safety issues in our schools and communities.
  • Provide support and resources to students and families, including crisis intervention and counseling services.
Requirements
  • Must be a certified law enforcement officer in the state of Florida.
  • Must have at least two years of experience in law enforcement, including experience working with youth and in school settings.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
