About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Ascension Illinois. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assess medication orders to identify potential and actual drug-related problems
  • Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate
  • Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients
  • Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients
  • Communicate with physicians and other clinicians to facilitate care
  • Oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies
  • Assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students
  • May float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs
Requirements
  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: Pharmacist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
  • Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required
