Job Summary

The Director of People Services will lead and guide the development of organizational philosophy, approaches, and policies on compensation, benefits, employee relations, and training initiatives.

This role will represent the organization in contract negotiations, oversee labor agreements, and drive strategic HR initiatives to support the organization's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR philosophy, policies, and initiatives
  • Represent the organization in contract negotiations and oversee labor agreements
  • Drive change through data-based insights and influence
  • Coach senior leadership on policy, conflict resolution, and change management
  • Foster positive working relations with unions
  • Analyze data to identify trends and improve work environment
  • Design organization structures and lead change management initiatives
  • Interpret and administer policy in accordance with collective bargaining agreements
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide actionable advice
  • Remain current on state and federal employment laws and regulations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline (required)
  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • 10+ years of human resources experience in a leadership role
  • Union experience
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment (preferred)
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification (preferred)

  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
