Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team at Broughton Hospital. As a Forensic Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric care to patients who are involved in the legal system. This includes conducting competency evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing medication management.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial psychiatric assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients
  • Provide medication management and other forms of treatment as needed
  • Conduct competency evaluations to determine an individual's capacity to proceed to trial
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to restore competency
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care
Requirements
  • License to practice medicine in the State of North Carolina
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of psychiatry residency
  • Professional experience leading and collaborating on an interdisciplinary team
