Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist provides critical respiratory care services to patients of all ages, including invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, airway management, and aerosol medication administration. This role requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
• Provide respiratory care services to patients, including ventilator management, airway management, and aerosol medication administration
• Conduct pulmonary function testing and electrocardiogram acquisition and management
• Participate in code blue and rapid response situations
• Support neonatal resuscitation efforts at high-risk infant deliveries
• Transport ventilator patients and provide respiratory-focused patient teaching
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements
• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy
